Senior Center Services

GLCAP senior centers host daily lunches, education, socialization activities, medical assessments and other services for seniors ages 60 and over. Every week, senior centers host fitness classes, card tournaments, educational seminars, movies and other activities.

Lunches are available each weekday at all locations; a donation of $3 per lunch is suggested. Call 24 hours in advance to reserve a lunch.

Older Americans Act Supports Senior Nutrition

 

Older Americans Act funding is important for helping seniors in our community
have access to nutrition. The above video includes actual comments from seniors
at our centers who shared why senior center meals are important to them.

 

Sandusky County senior centers to temporarily close

Sandusky County Senior Centers in Clyde, Fremont and Gibsonburg will close effective Monday, March 16, through Friday, April 3, due to the recent coronavirus pandemic.


Meals on Wheels training new volunteers

Great Lakes Community Action Partnership’s Meals on Wheels program will host a volunteer driver training Friday, March 20, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Sandusky County Senior Campus, 1101 Castalia St. in Fremont.
