Meals on Wheels Loves Pets
GLCAP’s Meals on Wheels Loves Pet program allows us to help Sandusky County seniors keep their dogs and cats fed by providing home-delivered pet food purchased from local stores, or donated to the program by our supporters. The program is available to Sandusky County seniors ages 60 and over.
Pet food quantities are limited, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. While we will attempt to match any preferred brand of food you may have for your pet, we may not be able to provide the exact brand of food, based on our supply.
If you are interested in enrolling or donating to the GLCAP Meals on Wheels Loves Pets program, please contact 567-280-1190 for more information.
Meet Andy. He's been delivering Meals on Wheels for GLCAP for more than 30 years!
Andy is one of our many dedicated drivers for Meals on Wheels. We're grateful for all

One out of every four adults age 65 and older falls every year. Those falls account for more than 850,000 hospitalizations and more than 29,000 deaths annually. These figures from the National Council on Aging (NCA) are why the NCA and Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) recognizes Sept. 21-25, 2020 as Falls Prevention Week.
In respect to Gov. Mike DeWine’s recent announcement that senior centers may reopen in late September, Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) Senior Services will now begin preparations for safely reopening its senior center services in Sandusky County. While the governor has stated that centers may reopen as soon as Sept. 21, a set reopening date for Sandusky County senior centers is yet to be determined, and will be decided in accordance with guidance from state and local health officials so as to ensure the safety of seniors and staff.
