TRIPS seeks artists for Fremont Shuttle design contest

TRIPS Public Transportation is looking for graphic designers, illustrators, and artists to help redesign a Fremont Shuttle vehicle as part of an Ohio Arts Council Creative Communities grant.

An award of up to $1,800 will be divided among up to three artists who submit successful designs for the project. A committee comprised of Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP)/TRIPS staff and community members will evaluate artist submissions. The winning design (or designs) will be applied to one of TRIPS’ Fremont Shuttle vehicles that travels throughout the city every weekday.

“We’re looking for designs that will make our Fremont Shuttle stand out and reflect our community’s history and inclusivity,” said GLCAP Public Relations Director Alex Boroff.

Designs should be submitted to Alex Boroff at ajboroff@glcap.org no later than Friday, April 28, 2023. Applicants should write “TRIPS Fremont Shuttle Contest” in the subject line.
