Rural LISC has recently given a renewal grant to Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) to continue supporting GLCAP’s work in pursuing program needs for northwest Ohio communities.
The $38,000 grant from the Rural Local Initiatives Support Corporation (Rural LISC) will assist with funding staff to seek opportunities related to housing needs for northwest Ohio, including seeking program opportunities for weatherization, veteran housing, and senior health and safety related home repairs.
Additionally, the grant funds staff training related to GLCAP efforts to become a local Financial Opportunity Center to assist low to moderate-income participants attain financial well-being and reach their financial goals.
“We continue to appreciate Rural LISC’s support,” GLCAP Planning & Development Director Cheryl Denny said. “Their support allows GLCAP to research, attain, and implement programming that ultimately benefits rural people in our rural communities with housing, financial and other needs.”
