What We Offer

Children ages 12 and under will be given the opportunity to provide a wish list as well as clothing sizes via the application form. The wish list is not a guarantee for any of those items to be provided but will serve as guidance to donors for the interests of each child.

Children ages 13-18 (and enrolled in high school) may also be included on the household's application for gifts. Children will have an opportunity to provide their favorite color, favorite food, and favorite activity. Donors will work to provide customized gift bags using those answers and items from our most requested gift list.

Seniors (those over age 65) will receive care boxes including some of the most requested gift items and will not submit wish list items via the application form.

Also, households must have at least one school aged child (or younger) or one senior over age 65 to request food assistance. A request for food assistance does not guarantee a meal basket or frozen turkey will be provided.

Please note although Sandusky County Community Christmas would like to grant all requests for assistance, the need in our community is great, and therefore, we cannot guarantee that every request will be fulfilled. Families will be notified if they have been matched with a donor. You will receive your notification by Dec. 10, 2025 along with instructions on how your gifts will be made available.

Dropping off or delivering gifts

For those sponsoring families, donors should indicate on their forms whether they wish to drop off items for Community Christmas volunteers to deliver, or if donors prefer to deliver directly to the household themselves.

For drop-offs, items will be collected Wednesday, Dec. 17, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Neeley Center, Terra State Community College. Please note that perishable food items or donor drop-offs will not be accepted on the morning of distribution. This change helps ensure a safe and smooth process for everyone. Those who are contributing perishable items are asked to deliver directly to the sponsored household or arrange a pickup.

For direct delivery, donors should contact their families by Dec. 9 and complete delivery by Dec. 20.
