Fostoria Learning Center to host WorkAdvance short-term manufacturing training program

Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP), in partnership with the Fostoria Learning Center, is offering a short-term manufacturing training program through WorkAdvance. The upcoming session will begin on weekdays from Nov. 27 to Dec. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This program offers a pathway to a full-time position with a local employer, even for individuals with no prior experience in the industry. The program is available at no cost to individuals who are 18 years or older, interested in manufacturing work, and can attend all sessions.

The training program will be conducted at the Fostoria Learning Center, located at 342 Perry Street, and participants will receive a Manufacturing Associates Certification (CMfgA) that includes Autonomous Maintenance Operator Awareness. This certification will provide graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the industry.

For more information, call 800-775-9767 or email foc@glcap.org. Interested individuals can also visit the program website at www.glcap.org/workadvance. This program is funded by the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce and The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association.
