GLCAP Summer Crisis Program helps residents stay cool during hot months

Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) will help eligible Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood County residents stay cool during the summer months through the Summer Crisis Program, taking place July 1 through Sept. 30, 2025, or until funds are exhausted.

Eligible clients are those at or below 175% of the FPG for a family of up to eight, and 60% SMI for a family of nine or more. In addition to meeting income eligibility requirements, clients must also meet at least one of the following criteria for the program: with a household member who is 60 years of age or older, have a household member with a documented medical condition, have a disconnection notice, have been shut off, or are trying to establish new electric service.

Last year, GLCAP assisted 828 families in Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood County through the Summer Crisis Program.
