GLCAP President/CEO joins White House Rural Communities in Action event

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Ruthann House, Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) President/Chief Executive Officer joined community organizations serving rural America at the Rural Communities in Action event on May 14 at the White House.

The event included remarks by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack; U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg; White House Domestic Policy Advisor Neera Tanden; and other Biden-Harris administration representatives who shared updates on the administration’s initiatives for rural investment. The event also included panel discussions on rural human resources, infrastructure, and economic development.

“We know from our work that rural areas continue to need resources and support,” House said. “We appreciate the ongoing efforts on the part of the administration to address rural needs that help us create opportunities for the people we serve here at home.”
