GLCAP Head Start centers still enrolling

Enrollment is still open for Head Start preschool services through Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP).

GLCAP Head Start provides all-day early childhood education for children ages 3-5 at no cost for eligible families. Along with full-day preschool, Head Start provides meals and snacks; health, vision, and dental screenings; family engagement opportunities; and more for children and parents.  

GLCAP’s early childhood centers are located in Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood County. Center locations include:

•    Bowling Green Jordan Family Development Center
•    Clyde Early Childhood Center
•    Fostoria Family Development Center
•    Fremont Stricker Family Development Center
•    Genoa Early Childhood Center
•    Perrysburg/Rossford Early Childhood Center
•    Port Clinton Early Childhood Center
•    Sylvania Early Childhood Center
•    Tiffin Early Childhood Center
•    Toledo Bancroft Early Childhood Center

Additional partner sites are located throughout GLCAP’s five-county service region.

Families are eligible for Head Start if household income is at or below federal poverty guidelines (e.g. $32,150 annual income/family of four). Children who are in foster care or experiencing homelessness, as well as children from families receiving SNAP benefits or other public assistance are also eligible. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to call for details.
