GLCAP offers job placement options for youth and young adults, skills training for in-demand careers, and other related services to help people of all ages with employment needs.
Full tuition funding is now available for eligible students interested in pursuing a career in the marine trades. The Marine Services Technician Apprenticeship Program through Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) provides classroom and hands-on experience in marine industry skills that lead students to a state-certified apprenticeship credential upon completion of the course.
Fostoria YouthBuild will host an open house Jan. 30, 4-6 p.m. at the Fostoria Learning Center, 342 Perry St. The open house will be an opportunity for youth who want to earn their GED, learn construction skills, and earn money through the Fostoria YouthBuild program to learn more about what the program offers. The program is open to young adults ages 18-24, but those who may have a friend or relative who might be a good fit for the program are encouraged to attend as well.
