Illinois RCAP offers multiple training opportunities that include in-person classroom trainings and field days, webinar series, online self-paced trainings, and on-site trainings.

RCAP is opting to postpone trainings due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak and with respect to guidance from local, state and federal health officials.

Disinfection Overview

This training has been approved for 1 water contact hours.

This lesson mentions the different types of disinfection methods available but is focused on disinfection by free chlorine and combined chlorine (chloramine). Topics include types of disinfection, chlorination, chloramination, and nitrification.

 

 

 

 

 

Hypochlorite Solutions

This training has been approved for 1 water contact hours.

The purpose of this leaning event is to provide operators of small water system with the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to safely handle and feed sodium hypochlorite.

 

 

 

 

Wastewater Plant Maintenance

This training has been approved for 3 wastewater contact hours.

This training covers the general maintenance needed for lift stations, headworks, mechanical & electrical systems, disinfection, and sludge handling.
