Morgan County Hazard Mitigation Plan

The Morgan County Hazard Mitigation Plan assesses the county's vulnerability to natural disasters and is a requirement of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The plan is open to public viewing and comment now until Dec. 18.

The Morgan County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update is now available for public review and comment. The plan update is required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the provision of hazard mitigation funds that will reduce the county’s vulnerability to natural disasters.

, which includes a link to the updated Morgan County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update, as well as an appendix that includes surveys and other data on Morgan County and the plan.


Printed copies of the report
are also available for review during normal business hours at the Morgan County Commissioners Office at 155 E. Main Street, McConnelsville, and each of the four village offices and both locations of the Kate Love Simpson Library in McConnelsville and Chesterhill.

 

Virtual public meetings regarding the plan will take place Dec. 2, noon-2 p.m. and Dec. 9, 4-6 p.m. Both meetings are accessible at this link, available during the time and date of the meetings.
