Great Lakes Community Action Partnership’s Meals on Wheels program continues to thrive because of the support from the United Way of Sandusky County, local volunteers and the community. In 2018, 386 homebound seniors in Sandusky County received home-delivered meals through Meals on Wheels. Volunteer Meals on Wheels drivers make a difference

Every weekday in Fremont, volunteer drivers support local homebound seniors by delivering meals into their homes. These volunteers help Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (formerly WSOS Community Action Commission) Meals on Wheels fulfill its mission of ensuring that all area seniors have access to nutrition, regardless of disabilities, illnesses or injuries that prevent some seniors from easily leaving their homes. Moreover, volunteer drivers provide more than nutrition for homebound seniors.
