The deadline is nearing for households to seek help through the Summer Crisis Program offered by Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP). The program is available for eligible households in Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood counties now through Sept. 30.
The GLCAP Summer Crisis Program provides cooling relief for households with a member age 60 or over, or households that have a household member who has a documented medical condition that requires air conditioning. The program also assists households that are at or below 175% of federal poverty guidelines (e.g. $48,563/household of four) and have a disconnect notice from their electric provider.
To receive assistance, appointments must be scheduled by calling GLCAP’s scheduling hotline at 567-432-5046 or by visiting www.glcap.org/summercooling.
