During the 2019-2020 winter season, Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP) helped 1,551 Ohioans through the Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP).

This season, GLCAP EHEAP continues to serve residents of Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca and Wood counties by offering heating assistance for those facing a utility shutoff or fuel shortage, as well as those who need new or transferred utility service. Residents must also be at or below 175 percent of federal poverty guidelines (e.g. $22,330 annual income/household of one; $45,850 annual income/family of four) in order to be eligible for assistance.

Those interested must schedule an appointment with GLCAP for assistance. All appointments will be conducted by telephone. EHEAP intake staff will instruct clients on how to turn in required documentation, such as proof of income, copies of recent energy bills and other documents.

Clients may schedule appointments for assistance by calling 567-432-5046. Those who have less than 20 percent bulk fuel or whose utility services are already off should call GLCAP’s customer service team at 419-333-6054 to be scheduled an emergency phone intake.
