GLCAP offers no-cost home buyer education course

A no-cost home buyer education course will take place Saturday, Oct. 26, 8 a.m.-noon for anyone interested in learning more about the home-buying process.

The course takes place at Great Lakes Community Action Partnership Headquarters, 127 S. Front St., Fremont and is led by GLCAP’s HUD-Certified Housing Counselor Corey Manns.

“Buying a home is the biggest and most complicated purchase most people are ever going to make,” Manns said. “Our course helps educate participants on the home-buying process and hopefully reduce the anxiety some may have about becoming a homeowner.

Course topics include homeownership readiness and affordability; money and credit management; insurance basics; mortgaging and more.
